Detailed introduction
The Delhi – Ghaziabad – Meerut Corridor is the first rapid intercity transport project in the National Capital Region (NCR) of India and the first rapid intercity project that Fangda contracted to build in India. The entire corridor runs approximately 82km from Delhi to Ghaziabad and on to Meerut, altogether 25 stations (including parking lots) with elevated stations, ground stations and underground stations, and 2 depots. In October 2023, Namo Bharat train was inaugurated and available for passenger operations for phase 1 of the corridor. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended and addressed the opening ceremony.
